As a kid I always recognized the similarities in the level structure of Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure 2's City Escape. Both looking like they are based off San Francisco. This made me want to merge the two titles in some way. From what I understand, Sonic Team USA staff were living in the San Francisco during the development of Sonic Adventure 2 and the Crazy Taxi level developers based Downtown on the Financial District, in San Francisco.
Thought it be a fun addition to have the Crazy Taxi Cast nearly running over Sonic while eating a chili dog. Tying all this madness together to make a strange but fun boot.
